Did you replace the coolant temperature **SENSOR** or the coolant temperature **SWITCH**? They are two different parts!.. And just for the heck of it ... 4 or 6 cylinder?
Replace the fan relay. Change the temp light bulb.
sorry that was relayed incorrectly the idiot light will shine when key in on position. But when car overheat then the light does not come on. Also swap tested the relays.
You have a command problem somewere. We will have to pin test it out to get to the bottom of it. Call us when you can this week.
Thank you, pin test? what is that? The engine light does not come on there for the diagnostic computer does not produce codes. Thank you for your reply.
Yes, sensor ! There is no switch, that I can find or know of ! 6 cylinder. 3.3L Thanks !
Ok. So it doesn't have a gauge. Just to clarify: Temp Sender Switch - Gauge $ 15.30 /ea Part Number: ECH TS4014 Product Line: NAPA Echlin Ignition Parts.. Tell me if it's boiling the coolant out of the radiator ... Since the light IS working.. Just how do you know it's actually overheating... Note that these engines reach 225° f at times before fan turns on!!.. A professional scanner and someone to use it would make this a piece of cake.. Good luck and happy motoring!
