What is your question?
Hi, The heater in my car isn't working. fan blows normal air (cooling works also), but heat doesn't work in winter months. How do you MAKE SURE that the part the repair shop is replacing, is actually the one that has gone bad.. and they're not just replacing the whole thermostat or casing? I'd like to understand what verification RepairPal actually provides to give peace of mind to the customer? Or is it just a plain vanilla lead generation business? Thanks.
What makes this problem better or worse?
cabin heat is just not turning on (fan is blowing, and seats can be heated)
How long has your 2005 BMW X5 had this problem?
9 months

Simple - ask for all parts removed - have anyone of your choice inspect / test the parts for evaluation.. Sometimes you just have to trust the individuals whom are fixing your vehicle. Good luck!
