Why is my car trying to stall out as I drive?

What is your question?

My car is not starting properly and someone said it may be the crank and /or cam sensor. Plus once it starts sometimes it will not go in drive no mater how much gas you give it but it will move in reverse. Runs fine then starts to studder like it wants to die. Dies when I'm trying to take off at times.

What makes this problem better or worse?

It's worse when the engine is cold

How long has your 2008 BMW X3 had this problem?

A few weeks and only getting worse.
