Due to the complexity's of today's vehicles, the vast majority of owners or DIYer's do not possess the proper diagnostic equipment nor the knowledge and training that's required to effectively and successfully perform their 'own' automobile diagnostic troubleshooting and repairs.. Unfortunately, It is impossible for us here 'online' to determine what the actual failure is.. We could post a 'list' of the possibilities - however that isn't going to help due to the fact the same diagnostic equipment and troubleshooting knowledge is still going to be required before a logical repair strategy can be obtained. Therefore it is highly recommended to seek professional *hands-on* assistance with this issue as that tends to be the most cost effective and reliable solution.. Good luck! I am not certain about "smoking brown". Blue smoke is typically from oil consumption, black smoke from rich fuel mixture, white smoke from condensation or even coolant inside the engine crankcase. But brown...not sure. Seek local guidance for assistance.
