My emergency break failed and I disengaged it but warning light stays on.

What is your question?

So the manual tells you if your emergency break won't disengage, you have to go into the trunk and do this procedure that disengages it. But you can't use it until a dealer replaces the emergency break system which cost over a thousand. So I said the hell with it but the annoying warning light stays on and confuses the valet guys. What do I do?
