Does coolant sensor react to the ratio of coolant to water, or just liquid level

What is your question?

coolant level message received, but level is up. not sure of ratio of water to coolant. gauge reads approx 25% highway / up to 45% city. never reaches over 50% position. no leaks found. no steam. no smell. any ideas?

Thank you for your response. I knew it was a reach, but had to ask. my guess is that I have a bad sensor. News at 11:00!

It is referred to as coolant level sensor and only measures the fluid level.
