What is your question?
So clutch has started slipping a week ago and gotten progressively worse (less acceleration and more revving day by day, I drive a lot) until today where the car would barely move and I sounded like I was going in neutral. However suddenly my car no longer experienced any slipping. The question is, do I still need to replace the clutch (will I damage flywheel/pressure plate if I don't) or did I just go through a glazed layer? I did some online research and those are the two outcomes I saw that were possible.
How long has your 2002 BMW 330Ci had this problem?

Normally a clutch that’s started slipping will continue to do so - - without mechanical repair ... UNLESS some ‘fluid’ from engine bay has gotten onto the clutch which caused the slippage and has now dissipated.. Only *hands-on* evaluations will reveal the answer.
