The car was dead after leaving a dome light on. Since the battery was 9 years old anyway, I replaced it. The car starts perfect now but the battery light comes on for a few minutes and then goes out. Do I need to tell the computer somehow that a new battery was installed? Could this be why the light comes on for a few mins and goes out?
