2 days after change the transmission fluid with ZF-5 transmission fluid, my transmission could not shifting gears. It just stuck in 1st gear in D mode, if I change to S mode the gear could shift to 2nd gears only.
My mechanic has scanned with GT-1 but he didn't get any fault. So his advice that the transmission must be overhauled and it's predicted the transmission has mechanical failure but funny.. after he open the transmission, he said the mechanical has no problem, everything good except the seal has small leaking.
My question is:
a. Why the transmission stuck without warning in dashboard ?
b. Is it possible the EGS has problem ?
c. If the EGS problem, can I replace the TCM module GS 8.60 with GS 8.60.4 which belong to BMW 325i because they use same transmission model ?
