my audi a3 2000 mod.is stuck in the park position, and unable to select any gear

your shift lock solinoid is not working. turn key on to 1st position and depress brk pedal and see if that works. 1st position there should be no dash symbols on. if that doesn't work ck brke lights and see if they work, u may have a bad brake light switch.then ck fuses to see if one is blown.you may need to tow to shop if all these are good
