What is your question?
With the cold season starting if i start my car and run it until it gets to regular operating temperature and then turn on the heat on I get a burst of heat for about 30 seconds then it gets cold, wondering if it might be a heater core of a sensor...

Or you could have it monitored with a scanner to verify failed thermostat. Cooling system maintained at all over the years? ..............any of this B.S. worth a reply?
Ok so after reading up a little more online I decided to try a flush of the heater core hooked a garden hose up to a price of hose connected it to the left hose hookup and hooked another hose to the right side then flushed with water. The water flushed dirty for 10 to 15 seconds then went clear. Took a ride to the store and the heat worked and has now been working for a solid week or 2 almost a tad too hot :) Thank's for the information here and elseware.
Halomage, where did you hook the hoses up? I can barely see the hoses from the top of the engine let alone access them
The spot I hooked up to is behind the firewall. If you remove the rubber that holds the guard that covers the battery all off you will see a 2.5 inch wide hose guard remove the guard at there are the hoses that attach directly to the core.
