What is your question?
Just had alternator and battery replaced then check charging system light would flash on for a second when I slowed down. This happened about 6 times in 10 days after replacement. Now within the last couple of days the light isn't coming on but the dinging noise that accompanied the warning sign has come on 3 time within last couple of days when I come to a stop. What could be causing this ?

I have the same car, changed the alternator myself and the same thing is happening to me ever since. It hasn't affected anything since it started happening, and it started last August.
check all connections, clean, tight, grounds also.have charging system tested?
I have the exact same car too. I've had the same exact problems!!!
Nope still is not fixed change cable to battery to ground still comes on intermediate need help seen several posts with no answers
Had the same issue and replaced the alternator and serpentine belt and the light went off for about a month and then came back. I replaced the battery, checked my fuses and disconnected my Bluetooth box but still no luck. I found out that my car was notorious for a bad wiring harness that connected the battery to the starter to the alternator. I called the dealership to order a new harness(sub-wire part # 32111-RB-A51) and they confirmed my suspicion saying that if all the above had been replaced then the harness was more than likely the problem. Ordered it, replaced it and no issues since.
Thanks Stevieray1, I was hoping to avoid a diagnostic fee to check the charging system :/.
well,i don't know where you are/were taking to have it checked, but if you take it to Autozone, they don't charge you for testing the charging system, battery installation, wiper installation, check engine light readings!they have several stores in your area,80011,,80012,80014,,80015,80020,zip codes.
I went back to where the alternator was replaced and they checked the battery and alternator said they were fine, but wouldn't fully check the problem unless I payed a diagnostics fee. This check charging system light continues to come on every now and then. On top of that the car started to run rough (shaky and slow accelerating up a hill)and the check VSA light and check emmissions light came on. I took it to the Honda dealer and they said I had a bad accelerator position sensor. I had that replaced but am starting to think that was a pricey mistake. I am getting frustrated with these mechanics, and I am not feeling very trusting of them! Not sure how the What the check VSA light/check emmisions had to do with the accelerator position sensor. :( ?? Any advice on what to do now would be appreciated.
when your check engine and vsa light came on,it should have thrown a code for the sensor you had replaced.it should have corrected the shakes, and slow up a hill problem, and all the lights should be off now that sensor is $180.00 plus 1/2Hr. labor.but, you still have the check charging system coming on.that light don't come on for no reason.i don't understand why the shop wants to charge you to find out why the light is coming on.they don't do that here where i live in NC.if they ever want your business again, just saying.they are the ones who put the alternator on.it could be a bad new alternator right out of the box.have seen many times!take the car to Autozone,Advance,Oreilly, they will test the charging system for free!see what they say.the alternator,a new one is $160.00,a reman. is $125.00 plus their labor for installing it at that shop you took it to...
Hi, still have not resolved this problem. I hesitated to take it to the repair shop that changed the alternator because I didn't want to hassle with them ("Christian Brother's shop" btw.) The light continues to flash when i slow down. The other day it did not want to start after sitting for 30 min, so i jump started it no problem. After I jumped it, I took it right to O'riellys to check the charging system and they got mixed results on the alternator. The batt tested good and so was the starter. The next morning I took it to my old mechanic to check the charging system again ( to have some proof before I went back to Christian Brother to have them take a look) My old mechanic tested the charging system (for free) and everything checked out fine. Not sure what to do now, I feel like I have to have some proof or a broken down car before taking it into to "Christian Brother's" so they will take a look at it. This should not be so difficult??
i've been sitting here pondering(southern slang for thinking)over this SHOP,(Christian Brother's).some time ago, someone posted some pretty bad stuff about them, and said they ripped them a new one and stated to stay away from them!ok,getting back to your car.it sounds like you either have a bad, dirty, loose,or disconnected ground wire.sometimes it's hard finding electrical problems, sometimes it could be spotted right off.what was your car doing to have the battery and alternator replaced the very first time, that it gave you problems?i assume this is when the brothers worked on i?
