you can goto walmart,or any autoparts place and they should have plenty.walmart is cheaper for the same can.get 1 can of a/c pro in the black can, with the trigger on it,and gage.follow directions on how to install.as you hook it up,watch compressor clutch.it may be cycling on and off real fast.as the freon goes in the can should get very cold, and compressor will cycle less and less.do this with the car running,a/c on high setting.watch gage, clutch should be spinning for several minutes before cycling off.cold air should be blowing good, now.it may take the whole can, depending on how low it is on freon.save the can/hose.you can reuse, store at room temp.if some freon left in can.
your welcome.also you can shake the can while putting the freon in,also turn sideways, shaking the can.i had better luck shaking the can getting it to go in better.be sure and pull the trigger while doing this.post findings.
By the way I also have an issue where I replaced the power steering pressure hose and since then the power steering pump started whinning and would not stop, I had the original pump rebuilt and still the same, two other pumps were put in and still they whine. Any thoughts, I thought maybe the hose I put in is defective.
Yes turns out to have been a fuse for the auxiliary fan and some freon.
However the power steering pump is still whinning, I can hear some noise from the alternator but I think that's another noise altogether.
I have not taken the power steering belt off but the noise is definitely coming from the pump, the alternator is making more of a grinding noise which is more than likely worn bearings. and I as I mentioned before this is the second rebuilt pump and the original pump was also rebuilt before the other two were installed.
I can see the fluid moving well in the resevior even when racing the rpm's, what are the chances that the rack is going. I did not hear this whinning until I replaced the high pressure hose, unless the fluid level would go down due to the leak in the high pressure hose.
The fluid level is fine, at one point when the pressure hose was leaking the level would go down quickly but I kept up with the level until I changed the hose, there are no more leaks just the whining, I'm just not sure which way to turn to get this whining to stop, what makes sense is that since The whining was not there before replacing the hose then quite possibly the hose is defective but the fluid flows very well so that kind of tells me that it is not the hose however there is a sensor attached to the hose which could also be bad I am going to look into taking it to a Acura specialist
one question.are you using the correct power steering fluid type?because i have a honda, and have to use the fluid type that says for honda only.honda/acura is the same!just a thought.
so I found the hose, it's in order. But I developed another issue last week, when I shut off the car a few minutes later the cooling fan comes on and stays on, if I turn in the ignition it turns off ignition off fan on and it stays on for more than 5 min, I usually have to unplug the fan. In the morning I plug it in and it's back to normal. I find this odd, any thoughts?
Yes Last time it was checked (one week ago) it was low

check belt/tension,other pulleys, may not be the pump making the noise.
Ok I'll take a look thanks
is the a/c working now?

remove the power steering belt, start engine, see if the noise goes away.post findings.
Excellent idea, I'll try it thanks

if the fluid level is down a lot, maybe thats why 3 pumps.who is doing the work on all this?

Yes I am, I think that the aftermarket hose that I boughton the Internet is is the problem, I had no issues until I replaced it
have it checked, that hose is expensive.
