Why is my 1999 Acura drives but I can't feel it shift except when I slow down

What does the tach. do as you are accelerating? How many miles since the last fluid change? ONLY Honda/Acura ATF has been used in it and it has been kept at the proper level? Is the check engine light on (for how long?)Has the 'D' light ever been flashing while you had it running or while driving it? Do you want to keep the car? AND most importantly ............what in the heck is a 'cylinoid sensor'????? That there , sounds like something you'd find on them there europeen kars..........
