What is your question?
do I have to access the starter from under the car?

It's under the battery, as a general location. Pretty big job to replace. Raise the coolant reservoir, then remove the battery and battery base. Remove the alternator belt and alternator. Remove the left exhaust manifold cover. Remove the left damper fork. Disconnect the left suspension lower arm ball joint. Remove the left driveshaft. Remove the transmission stop collar, then remove the exhaust pipe A. Remove the front mount mounting bolts. Attach the chain hoist to the engine. Remove the left engine mount bracket. Disconnect the starter cable and BLK/WHT wire, then remove the starter.
Installation is reverse of removal.................Also depends on how many drill bits you need to remove/extract rusted broken bolts along the way!
