What is your question?
The car will surge or hesitate (like it is lacking fuel or air) when it reaches approx 80 km/hr. It goes away when you take your foot off the accelerator. I have taken it to the shop and they replaced the timing chain and no change in the hesitation
What makes this problem better or worse?
problem is on acceleration
How long has your 2013 Acura MDX had this problem?
one year

Hello, this vehicle does not have a timing chain, so i'm not certain what was repaired in reality. Testing must be performed with a diagnostic tool on board while driving. A total guess would be engagement of the torque converter happening around that speed, but this does not indicate a suggestion of failure or malfunction in that area. These vehicles are not known for powertrain concerns.
