Remove ANY-THING that is in drivers floor pan! .. That includes floor mat .. Unwanted acceleration is caused by driver error or something interfering with accelerator pedal as feet are shuffled or attempting to apply brakes .. It's possible that the distance between the pedals is different than you're accustomed to and you were actually touching accelerator pedal along with brake pedal.
Will do however I say where others have had this same problem. One person said the electric control master and the power control master modules needed to be relearned the connection between the two? Whatever that means? Make any sense? Thanks
IF it were out of sync it would do the same thing every time .. Does this happen 'every time' you hit the brakes? .. Some-thing pushed on the gas pedal to cause this problem!
Not sure, I will try what you said it makes sense. Hit you back tomorrow. I hope that is what it is! Thanks John
Ok .. One more note: This is what is called a fly by wire system .. IF the signal is lost or even incorrect the default is NO acceleration at all - no matter what position the pedal is in... It's pretty much bulletproof!
