'IF' jump starting is actually successful - suspect battery post / cable connection problems.

Jumper cables are making connection to the â€˜outsideâ€™ of the battery cable clamp.

There is always the possibility of reversed battery polarity while jump starting - which can result in blown fuse(s) . Including the MAIN FUSE... Good luck!
