The Fuel Pressure Regulator (also referred to as Fuel Pressure Control Valve) regulates the fuel pressure coming out of the high pressure pump on direct injection equipped vehicle's. When the engine control module (PCM) detects the actual fuel pressure is above the commanded fuel pressure, it will set this code.
