    OBD-II Code Fuel pressure control valve failure is defined as a Fuel Pressure Regulator 2 - Forced Engine Shutdown

    The engine computer (PCM) monitors fuel pressure when the key is turned off. Under normal conditions, the fuel pressure should drop a specified amount within a given time frame. If the fuel pressure does not drop, code P228B will be stored.
