None of the trouble lights came on until right before the car died. Now they say I need a new engine and the warning lights should have come indicating that something was wrong. Has this happened to anyone else? Not sure if I go legal with it?
What is your question?
I bought the car 6 months ago certified pre owned because I went over the the 12,000 miles they won't warranty it.
RepairPal Certified shops can diagnose and repair your 2009 Scion xD. They provide transparent pricing with a minimum 12-month or 12,000-mile warranty on repairs and services.
Was the dash cluster instrumentation (gauges) showing any problems before the engine died? .. What happened ... Did the engine overheat or loose oil pressure? .. Yes, this has happened several times before, on many different vehicles!!
Thanks for the reply. No warning lights they just all flashed and car died. Toyota is saying the warning lights had to come on that it was low on oil, they did not come on prior to this so I'm trying to find some defect before I proceed.
