the gear lever is moveing freely and is not selecking any gear, the gear lever is moveing freely but on the dash board i'm seein that the gear is stuck on "R" and the car would not start at all.
Shifter cable dislodged or broken. My COROLLA doesn't have a gear slection indicator on the 'dash' just on the console at the shifter!
