What is your question?
Recently it started smoking under hood towards the back of the motor but my temperature gauge isn't saying it's hot
How long has your 2001 Oldsmobile Alero had this problem?
Few weeks

Hello, impossible to know if the engine's head gasket is of concern. First, work to resolve the overheating condition and the obvious coolant leak under the hood. What has likely happened is that after 18 years, a rubber coolant hose has ruptured. The engine temperature may not be compromised yet, but steam from hot coolant leaking out of the hose will cause the smoking. Work to repair any and all leaks (all coolant hoses should be replaced by now if they never have been!) and purge the air from the cooling system as needed, then retest operation.
While the vehicle is still operational - best drive it to local auto repair facility to be repaired.. â–ªï¸ https://repairpal.com/repair-shops â–ªï¸
