My engine when cold makes a tapping noise is this the lifters or timing belt

Hi Jacque. Were you able to find a solution? I was talking to Volvo as I have a similar problem and they mentioned possible drive shaft joints? Gearbox? My noise also dissipates when the car warms up.

how is oil level? look at estimator on this site for your area

Timing belts won't tap. When was the last oil change? Was the right viscosity used? When was the timing belt changed? Get it in to be serviced soon.
