My cruise control turns on and won't stop

Do you know of this was ever recalled? Or if this would cause the gas pedal to go down fully and no breaks

You would have to check with Ford on that. It's just something I run into all the time.

I must ask this ...again...the cruise control randomly turns on by itself and the gas pedal goes to the floor.... then you cant stop it becsuse you have no brakes.... is that what you are saying?.....That is what I read! ....Please do let us know what this one turns out to be....!!!

Yes the gas pedal went to the floor and the brakes wouldn't work at all they froze I couldn't get the pedal down at all the truck was reving so fast and loud I couldn't control it so I turned the key off that's the only way I could get it to stop.i had just filled the gas tank and it used over 1/4 tank of gas in .5 mins. Or less. I will let you know when they tell me what the out come is.

I am curious but more importantly......other owners need to know!!

I finally have a partial answer to what was happening. So far the ford specialist said the Anti Lock breaking was having failure problems and that the steering box was broke the parts are on order and then we will see what's next this is a F350 super duty 2008 v10 king Ranch There is 70,400 miles on it is a custom built from Ford so all parts take time to come they said maybe next week.

This was their answer as to why the cruise control just turns on by itself and the truck runs away with no brakes... that's interesting for sure!!

So far this is what they have told me. They said that once all the new parts are installed they will run a test again. I know I'm scared to drive the truck unless they know the real reason this happens.
