My car keeps breaking down. I replaced the fuel pump and Its still braking down

(1999 Acura Integra)
After running for a short period of time the car will shut down it will continue to run for a few seconds after losing power. It is a 1999 Acura Integra 1.8 l ls I have checked the connections on the fuel pump and replacing the fuel pump. I have checked the distributor nothing is wrong there I am thinking the ignition control module is faulty but not positive.

does it do this also>>> when you try to start it,the car won't start sometimes, just cranks over and over?.it does this when it's real hot inside the car? then once it cools off inside the car it will start and run?

main relay bad to cause problems on the acura/honda all years in the 90's and up...they have a bad solder joint on the circuit board inside the relay, had to fix mine on my 93 accord..i have one laying on my ole desk right now.this usually happens only in the HOT months..this is a very common problem on all models of acura and honda.if you google your problem,90% of what you are going to see posted is MAIN RELAY or fuel pump relay(it's all the same relay) 10% is ignition switch gremlins!.a good test when it cuts off on you and won't start back is to turn the key to ON,NOT START.watch the check engine light, when the light goes off,and it does not CLICK when it goes out,it ain't starting.then once the relay cools off it will click when the light goes off and the engine will start.google this Part Number: 20505,see what it looks like.copy and paste the link, watch the video...your relay is $50.00 plus tax at the ZONE..

The fuel pump clicks on even in the heat...i hear the pump running since the pump is brand new and the sound is more distinguished... every time turn the car on our the key to the on position the pump activates... So the pump or the relay cannot be the issue as I have power to the pump... and the pump operates normally when it's running... however I'm being lead to believe that it may be the ignition control module... What are your thoughts on that???

ok,rule out the famous relay problem. you have the same set up as my 91 accord EX. the coil and the module are inside the cap! you have fuel, you're losing spark.before you replace the icm, check one thing.check ALL the screws on the coil and make sure the connections are good, tight, not cracked on the module or the coil.

Did that lol the cap and assembly is pristine... almost as though it had been replaced shortly before I purchased the vehicle...

(when it brakes down),are you getting good blue spark from the spark plug wires to a good ground?remove a wire from a spark plug, stick a screwdriver in the end of the wire, and ground it to a good metal source, have helper crank the engine over, should have good blue spark jumping 3/4" gap.
