What is your question?
My mechanic told me at some point, I needed a new mass air flow part. When driving yesterday, I could not get power when I accelerated. It sounded like clicking noises when I tried to accelerate. A few days ago, I accelerated when the cruise control was on and the Blazer sounded like it was in idle with the engine revving. It starts fine. Gauges all read ok, but the engine gets very hot after being driven a few blocks. I took off the MAF and cleaned it with Mass Air Flow Sensor Cleaner. It made no difference. Please help!!!
What makes this problem better or worse?
Worse when I try to accelerate
How long has your 2004 Chevrolet Blazer had this problem?

Have engine “overheating†problem addressed - SOON! An overheating engine will certainly decrease performance..
I had an issue with the catalytic converter - pressed the accelerator and the car would not speed up or would start doing these jerky movements. Changed the converter and problem was gone.
