My 1995 GMC safari van is having ruff idling issues.

What is your question?

When we turn the van on it runs really ruff. When driving and stopping at lights it will shut off on you. Sometimes even driving it will cut off. It almost sometimes seems like the van wants to drive it's self cause it's idling so hard.

What makes this problem better or worse?
