My 05 dodge stratus just shut off while I'm going down the road and now want start back up

When I turn the switch to crank it, it hit like it need a jump off but it's not turning over. What is wrong. It gave no warnings that it was messing up.

Have auto repair personnel try to rotate engine manually - engine may have locked.
