What is your question?
My head gasket recently blew up, as there was not enough coolant in the car. No warning light came on, what would be a reason no warning light came on and why would the temperature gage read as normal? I am currently working through this being a warranty cost and not a personal cost. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers John

Not all vehicles are equipped with coolant level sensors. Experienced technician , along with the physical 'evidence' in/on engine can help determine if and why the coolant gauge never exceeded the normal range. Low coolant (air in system) can also cause the gauge sending unit to read incorrectly because it is designed to operate with liquid on the sensor , if it has an air pocket around it , it will likely read incorrectly.
