Jumpy Acceleration

What is your question?

I've noticed that acceleration from a standstill is jumpy as if misfiring or injector issue or fuel pump failure. Instead of a smooth acceleration, it feels like intermittent losses of engine power within the 10 seconds it takes to go from standstill to cruising speed. Any ideas?
