Folks around the community here in VA just can't have any luck with Subarus.. Got 4 sitting on the lot now waiting for customers to figure out what they want to do with em.. They All really need engines, got way less mileage than yours has on it and have been reasonably taken care of as far as I know... Don't think I want to own one.. Just saying... However I agree the 6 cyl is a little better choice... Just going by what we see all the time as far as major repairs... Guess I'm just not impressed, at all.
The are good but have head gasket problems up the wazoo. I had a 4 cylinder forester that was a fun stick shift and this h6 is really powerful but head gasket leak is just crappy cause you have to remove the engine to rebuild it.
That's my point! .. My old work car is a 93 Corolla with 270k on it, had nothing but bare bones maintenance wise and virtually no repair work .. Like most mechanics give their own vehicles... Still going strong.. That's just 'one' example!
Yup. Probably the plan now is to sell and buy a land cruiser. I did like this Subaru's h6

That's why my next car will be a Toyota. Bullet proof and no more plastic mustangs, leaky Subaru's, or cruddy jeeps that fall apart
LOL. ... You hit the nail on the head!!!
I was looking at the 2000 land cruiser. Got any experience with them?
Well no bad experiences with em and there's a few around the area, no complaints from the customers.
