Is it necessary to reset the computer after replacing the battery?

(2008 Toyota Corolla)

I have been told by some people yes and by some no and therefor I am confused as I want to do it myself

replace the battery and reset clock and radio stations all sensors will reset themselves with some driving

If you use jumper cables jumped to another battery and you are very carefull you won't lose any memory. If you want a step by step explanation contact me at jmgrhm30@gmail.com

Thanks for the reply. I am now told by local toyota dealer there is no problem to do it so long as I disconnect the negative cable first and install it last. If you have further information that would be helpful, please let me know. Thanks.
