What is your question?
34,000 miles on the clock the report from buick said there was a leak at the seal but never noticed oil on my driveway. I want to know what causes it to make that sound?

The dealer should have that information, all we can only offer is a guess since we didn't have the vehicle present for inspection or testing... Now, based on your information .. I suppose it's possible that oil had leaked out of the front crank seal onto the drive belt .. then when the "air came on" it caused the "squeal type noise" from belt slippage due to the belt being under the extra load, of the A/C compressor turning on.
Yes it sounds unusual unless they are having a problem on that particular engine or some line, string, ect got wound up in it. Did they cover it under warranty?
Yes it was covered under warranty, like I said to the previous answer, I will contact in the week and try get more info on the cause. My concern was that the car is only two years old and I'm worried that having to change a crank seal already if that is a good sign.
thanks for your reply, The woman who looked after me is away now till Monday so I will call in the week and ask her for more info. It certainly sounds like your explanation was the reason.
Thanks for the reply, would like to know what they tell you about it myself.
