I have a 2016 nissan rogue, i was at a stop sign went to take off and hit the gas and heard and felt a clunk then the car wouldn't move, no reverse no drive but i do have park
What is your question?
I was driving it all day without any problems and never have had any issues before. No slipping or jerking ever. I have 155,000 miles on it.
RepairPal Certified shops can diagnose and repair your 2016 Nissan Rogue. They provide transparent pricing with a minimum 12-month or 12,000-mile warranty on repairs and services.
IF that is actually the case - the only recourse is have vehicle towed to auto repair facility for *hands-on* evaluation .. Way too many possibilities!
Yes I do have 155,000 miles on it. I use it for work, I had it towed to my house as there weren't any repairs shops open at the time. I'm thinking and hoping it's the shifter linkage. It has a cvt transmission. Thanks for your response
That’s certainly above average mileage - however one doesn’t always drive the ‘average’ miles as it depends on necessity.
Well let’s all hope it’s not something serious - difficult to offer an accurate repair solution here online.
Will say - Good luck with it!
Thank you, I just went out to start the car and try to put it in gear and the engine light and the traction lights are on. They wasnt on when it happened.
That can actually be a good thing as it will point the technician that’s diagnosing the problem in the right direction.
It ‘may not’ be that bad - but it definitely needs *hands-on* diagnosis.
Let us and other readers know the final outcome.
As a note: if you truly have 155,000 miles on a vehicle less than 3 years old, your vehicle would be considered subject to "severe duty". This means you should be changing your transmission fluid frequently, otherwise internal concerns can occur.

Okay I sure will, and thank you again.
Also my boss has a nissan as well and she said when her transmission went out her car wouldn't even start up. So that's a good sign mine still starts.
