What is your question?
I've had my oil changed, i've changed the oil pressure sensor and the dealership said that changing the ecm would stop the alarm. After paying over $500 for the ECM, the alarm is still ringing. Now they say that I need something else. At this point, I do not trust them. What is next???
What makes this problem better or worse?
especially when I back up
How long has your 2008 GMC Acadia had this problem?
over a year

You need to have the oil pressure checked mechanically before going any further. It's possible you actually have low oil pressure.Use this link to find a good shop near you. https://repairpal.com/repair-shops Alex
LOOK at oil pressure gauge - what's it telling you? .. IF audible warning is on - oil pressure gauge reading should be extremely low! Professional scan test - instrument cluster live data plus gauge functional test can be performed. I find it difficult to imagine why a GM dealer would not have performed all procedures that's posted here ...
I also find it very difficult to imagine why a GM dealer would replace the ECM as an attempt to repair this problem!! Best I can offer here is > Good luck!
Ok, so the problem is not really an oil pressure problem, the problem is the alarm and how to stop it from ringing. Three different mechanics told me that my oil pressure was fine. I just want to know how I can stop the alarm, which the ECM was supposed to do.
Problem is all audible warnings are controlled by the Body Control Module (BCM).. You’ll need qualified / knowledgeable *hands-on* assistance to property diagnose this for you .. That hasn’t happened yet..
