I have a 1995 ford 4x4 v6 explorer. When in drive it will not go over 2000rpms.

when running the exhaust is blowing out. I held a $1 at the exhaust and it blew it away with no attempt to draw it towards exhaust pipe. any advise as to a better way to test? As I have considered the cat. conv. myself. Thanks for your help Input!

More testing can be peformed but special tools needed! Vacuum gauge for one back pressure test kit for another. Can drop exhaust but i do not recommend that at all.

What would you recommend or suggest? Any help and or advise is welcome. Thanks

Only thing i know to suggest is just have it tested at a repair shop or find a buddy that is equipped to do the test. That is all i know of.

Ok I just got done cutting the cat converter bolts off. seperated exhaust. A little loud but it still has same issue. nothing over 2000rpm.
