How long does it take for you to complete a drive cycle?

I have been trying to get my van inspected but the catalyic converter code was on and when it was reset my mechanic said i needed to go through a drive cycle to get it reset. I don't know how many miles I have to drive before it resets. Can someone please let me know how many miles I have to drive before it resets. I have already put about 200 miles on it and it still has not reset??
