How do I measure the resistance between ground and a Solenoid Control circuit.

How do I measure the resistance between ground and a Solenoid Control circuit?

procedure ask to do this and if resistance is below 5 ohms. UH? everything is 0 ohms disconnected. why would any ohms show at all with connectors disconnected and no power ??

Turn the ignition off to the lock position.
Disconnect the Transmission Control Module harness connector.
Disconnect the Transmission Solenoid/TRS Assembly harness connector.
Note: Check connectors - Clean/repair as necessary.
Measure the resistance between ground and the 4C Solenoid Control circuit. Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?

Yes → Repair the 4C Solenoid Control circuit for a short to ground.
No → Go To 9
