how do i get my key out of the ignition can turn over motor but can't remove

You have to remove the plastic covers on the steering column there is a plastic tab behind the ignition switch it is getting hung up you can push or pull it with your finger and turn the key to release it I had the same problem there is a screw that holds the rod in place mine the screw fell out I put it back in and used lock tight have not had problem since hope this helps
