on my passenger side of the vehicle the carpet is wet does this mean the core is bad or the leak can be repaired ?

If your coolant level is dropping and the passenger floor is wet, You probably have a leaking heater core, but it might be a clogged evaporator drain hose. Better have a tech check this before changing parts.
well i have the same problem now, its not the pass. carpet that wet driver carpet pass carpet and the both back carpet wet, the back i think there is 2 gallon of water there now. and my car leak water inside and outside only after i park it at least for 8 hours before 8 hours it won't leak. is it too hard to fix it my self?
my husband already change the heater core, so i hope you're right about the evaporter hose if so i'll let you know. if so we should have check the internet before paying out all that money for the core and mechanics bill..thanks so much, you were very helpful. k.
