have warning light in red "NO KEY" and picture of the battery below it. what does this mean?

the key is the IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM INDICATOR.the battery light or picture usually means the alternator is not charging or has very little output voltage. when the key lights up(i thought it was green) This indicator comes on briefly when you turn the ignition switch to the ON (II) position. It will then go off if you have inserted a properly-coded ignition key. If it is not a properly coded key, the indicator will blink,and the engine's fuel system will be disabled,which you didn't mention that the key was blinking or it shut down.so, you need to have the charging system tested.if this is the problem,it will leave you stranded,get it checked ASAP!
