What is your question?
My wife said she had battery trouble when she left work, but got the car started and drove 45 mins but broke down a mile from home. When I got to her I found that the serpentine belt was shredded. We towed the car home and I replace the belt and the car started fine so I drove the car to her normal parking area. The next day the car wouldn't start so I tested the battery and it was dead. I went to Walmart and bought a new battery and still couldn't get the car started. Take in mind the engine will turn over but not start. A friend said I could check the crankshaft to see if it would turn. Problem is he is out of reach now and I have no idea how to find this. We cannot afford a new car now. Please help.

Is it at all possible you inadvertently touched the wrong battery terminals when installing the new battery ? Which has blown a fuse and is now preventing engine START.. ‘IF performed correctly’ - simply replacing the battery will not cause a no start condition - since engine started before battery replacement - I suspect a failed / blown fuse. Good luck!
BTW - since the engine is “turning over” - the crankshaft is definitely rotating - no need to check that.. IF at any time a jump start was attempted - that is another prime opportunity for reversed polarity to occur >> Blowing fuses ! IF unfamiliar with fuse TESTING - seek *hands-on* assistance from qualified personnel. Keep in mind all we can do here online is offer a best ‘educated’ guess - *hands-on* evaluations required for positive resolution.
