What is your question?
So I have a 2009 Ford Escape, 2 wheel drive, 2.5 cylinder engine. The car has 158402 miles on it, the ECU finally crapped out and I got another one from the Junk Yard and had it flashed. The car worked for a couple of months but had trouble switching gears and would run at high rpm and felt like it was not switching gears right, then it started jerking or vibrating back and forth when I would sit idle at red lights with my foot on the break and then the car crapped out again and started giving me the same symptoms that I had when my first ECU crapped out. Car turns on all electronics, car cranks but wont start. Front grill is cracked, hood has no damage because it has been replaced but is a different color than the rest of the car because it was a replacement. The front grill is cracked and the front driver side fender is cracked. Should I junk it or should I spend more on a new ECU? Junk yard offered 531 dollars for it. I appreciate all feedback and advice in advance Thanks

It seems you’re not positive what has failed to cause these concerns.. Without confirmation of the exact failure there is noway to provide a logical answer. What if it’s only a tripped inertia switch that simply needs to be reset? .. I’d be a shame to get rid of the vehicle for something so minor.. My recommendation is *hands-on* diagnosis to determine the failure first - then go from there. A replacement vehicle ain’t gonna be cheap.
