What is your question?
Trying to complete drive cycle test. Actron cp9690 scanner says there is an EGR/VVT test available for my vehicle. Does my vehicle have those monitors? IAT sensor is bad, will it complete a drive cycle test?
What makes this problem better or worse?
Just want CEL to go away
How long has your 1998 Ford Explorer had this problem?
Not sure

The 1998 5.0L is a Windsor engine and is not equipped with Variable Valve Timing.. Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) - and - Intake Air Temperature sensor (IAT) are present on that engine.. IF failures are present - drive cycle will not complete.
Considering the age and suspected mileage on the vehicle - it’s just time to spend a few bucks as it has more than likely served it’s owners well during the past 21 / possibly even 22 years (depending on production date) of it’s existence.. With that - I recommend professional *hands-on* assistance. Good luck!
