Do you need to recharge/evacuate the a/c to detect a leaking condenser
What is your question?
Took vehicle in for a diagnosis due to the air running hot. The dx was done and the system was evacuated and recharged. The air ran hot again so I took it back. Told that the condenser is leaking.
That depends on 'what method' of leak detection was performed .. Ultraviolet dye - electronic detector - visual inspection .. The system would require refrigerant pressure at some point to find the leak .. Ask whomever found the leak then re-post the question... Seems to me it's a good thing the leak was found...(?)
