I agree with pushrod. Just replace the whole halfshaft. But there are two dif types AWD or FWD. If you plan on doing the work yourself be sure to get the right part.

It is the least expensive route to just replace the failed part with a new axle shaft assembly that will also have a 'lifetime warranty' .. Labor cost alone is the difference maker, time is money! .. Plus that way the inner cv joint gets replaced as well .. Call local independent auto repair shop for estimates.
