this light has come on four times now. The fix from the dealer has included:
Blaming the service company for using the wrong oil
Doing a software upgrade
Ordering parts from the USA , I am in NZ and they must be on a very slow boat
Latest fix is to tell me to just drive it until parts arrive
I am so nervous this will break my car, I love it but I am loosing faith as it no longer feels reliable, can anyone help? Is it safe to drive until parts arrive?

Driving the vehicle until the parts arrive is a hard question to answer as I do not know the code or reason the "check engine" lamp is on. Many times, the lamp is on and it is perfectly safe to drive the vehicle. Like I said, it depends on what the diagnostic code for which the lamp is on.
