last night after 30 miles 1 stop then 2 miles car died. Tried to start and no but as soon as key is turned on starter cranks. Enough batt to pull the car off to the side in 1st gear. Today turn on key starter cranks but won't start. Key is in ON position not start position and don't have to have clutch depressed now

Sounds like a bad ignition switch. Many mopars have issues with crappy switches failing. Autozone sells the factory switch in another name packaging really cheap and it's fairly easy to replace on all the ones I've done, tho I haven't done one on a Crossfire.
The ignition cylinder probably is going bad as well which is super expensive, but that doesn't need to be replaced immediately. Thatll just be annoying until (and if) it goes out completely. What you need in order to prevent the car from dying is a new crankshaft sensor. About 200 bucks, not too big of a deal. Trust me I have both issues myself, except the ignition cylinder goes through phases of being perfectly fine and then sometimes I have to adjust the wheel to allow the key to turn. that's why I haven't replaced it for 1500$...
