Fan motor will not come on. It clicks but will not start.

Change it there cheap , its shot ,the brushes inside the motor,its 16 years young,lol.
What 'clicks' , the motor (put your hand on it & feel it) , or the relay clicking when you turn the switch? Could be motor , could be resistor , testing is the least expensive way. While turned on 'high' speed , bang on the housing and see what you get.........if that makes it work (maybe with some noise) then that test worked and you can be comfortable with replacing the motor..........just a thought.
